The developer’s goal for this community Swim Club was to create a place for people to gather and socialize. This amenity was constructed as part of the last and most prestigious neighborhood to be built within the overall master planned community. We settled on a style associated with the good times, wealth and fame of Palm Beach in the roaring 20’s. The design deliberately incorporates lengthy colonnades encompassing the pool to escalate the feeling of grandeur that a resort hotel or private swim club of ‘olde’ emanates. The tower serves as the community iconic feature. The climate in this S. California locale prompted the integration of the many exterior outdoor spaces for year-round enjoyment. The 2 ‘see-thru’ fireplaces are strategically positioned between the outdoor lounge and the adjacent exterior courtyard spaces to enable 4 separate groups of guests to enjoy an evening fireside chat simultaneously. The developer would be offering custom home sites for sale so the Grand Hall was designed to feel like a great room in an estate that would function as a sales center initially and then as a community gathering amenity in the future. The gourmet kitchen adjacent to the Grand Hall is for community events and cooking classes and can be completely closed by sliding the large wood and glass pocket doors for more formal events. The Swim club additionally houses offices for community staff, a state of the art conference room, an exercise room, and bathroom facilities.
