We have been enjoying the privilege of working alongside the visionary owner of this property over the past several years, reimagining every square inch—a process that continues to this day. What began as a relatively straightforward renovation of a nondescript 1990s Mediterranean-style residence gradually evolved into something far more ambitious: the complete transformation of this 5.68-acre estate property.  With no preconceived parameters, the project became an exploration of what the property ultimately wanted to be. We began by establishing a new West Indies inspired architectural vocabulary for the exterior. From there, the transformation moved inward, unfolding room by room. Each interior space was conceived as its own environment, with a distinct character and material palette.  

The work ultimately extended well beyond the traditional boundaries of interior and exterior architecture for the main house. Reflecting ponds became an architectural element, while the property was enhanced by a series of purposeful outbuildings and hardscape features. Among the many distinctive site embellshments is an extraordinary vegetable garden, complemented by a dedicated flower and garden cutting room building—spaces designed not simply for cultivation, but as integral components of the owner’s daily life.  Today, the property feels less like a completed project than an ever evolving architectural landscape—one shaped over time through collaboration with designers, experimentation, and an enduring dialogue between owner, architecture, and place.
